A focused, single-page army builder for the Imperial Knights faction in Warhammer 40,000 (10th edition). Everything runs in the browser — your lists are stored locally, no account required.

What’s in it

  • Codex 2025 datasheets for all 14 mainline Imperial Knights units (Castellan, Valiant, Crusader, Paladin, Warden, Errant, Gallant, Preceptor, Defender, Destrier, Canis Rex, Helverin, Warglaive). Legends and Forge World units are excluded.
  • Four current detachments — Valourstrike Lance, Gate Warden Lance, Questoris Companions, Spearhead-at-Arms — with their detachment rule, enhancements, and stratagem reference.
  • Live points budget with an over-limit warning, model-count selector for Armiger packs, and per-character enhancement assignment that auto-disables an enhancement once another unit takes it.
  • Heuristic army rating across anti-tank, anti-infantry, anti-air, melee, durability, mobility, and board control — plus generated strengths, weaknesses, and tips (e.g. “your list has Armigers but no Bondsman Knight to support them”).
  • Save and reload named lists in your browser, duplicate the current list, copy as text to the clipboard, download as .txt, or print straight to PDF.

Where the data comes from

Datasheets, points, weapon profiles, abilities, and enhancement descriptions are extracted from the BSData wh40k-10e repository (Codex 2025, revision 81). Stratagem text is curated from public Codex content — verify against your physical Codex before the next tournament.

Stack

Astro static site shell with one React island for the builder, Tailwind for layout, TypeScript end-to-end. Storage is currently localStorage behind a small adapter interface, so the same UI can swap onto a Cloudflare D1 backend later without changing any component code.

Status

Working tool. The next things on the list are user-selectable carapace wargear (ironstorm pod, stormspear pod, twin Icarus autocannon), a Bondsman pairing UI, and a sync-to-cloud option for accounts that want their lists across devices.
